wait for insurance approval

Hi, Just wondering, once your surgeons sent out notification to your insurance companies, how long did it take until you got your surgery approval letters??

Jen they sent my letter on a wednesday and I found out that same friday morning that I had been approved. I also called my insurance company ahead of time before I started all the testing to make sure that they would cover it and they said that all they needed was a letter of medical necessity and they would cover it. I have to say that I have not had any problems with my insurance at all they were great from the begining. All insurance companies are different. Hi - I have Independent Health - my surgeon, Dr. Caruana says it takes up to one month before we may get an answer. It has been two weeks now and I am waiting patiently. Good luck.
