Hi, everybody!
I haven't been on the site in a very long time... probably since last June. There's nothing new to report. My insurance has a written exclusion for WLS and I've fought them for months, only to have them write me a letter basically telling me to leave them alone because it's not going to happen. The good news is that I'm not getting heavier. The bad news is that my weight is really affecting every part of my life, more now than ever. I've been in touch with my surgical group to ask if they know about payment options for self-pay or if they had a surgeon-in-training needing experience that I could be a guinea pig for... but of course that's not how life works. I pray and I pray, but nothing breaks for me. I've had to take a second job as a waitress on top of my full-time teaching job just to make ends meet so I'm constantly tired, frustrated, and usually in pain. Obviously, I'm in no position to self pay. Anybody got any miracle ideas? I'd take any suggestions at this point!
Bummed out and ready to give up,
Traci
I'm so sorry to hear the dissapointing news......I bummed for you.....I also have had nothing but heart ache from the insurance company and it doesn't seem to be getting better....but I'm hanging in there....
Traci do you own any property if you do try getting a second mortgage or refinance the first one with extra money so you can self pay.... taking a second job is hard but I understand your not able to pay since you took a second job...
I have not read your profile yet but I will....
I wish I could give you the right solution for this delema it does get very nerve racking.....but I'm sure there will be a way....
Do you teach in a public school or private school.....are you married....are you living with some one...do you have family that might want to help...
You know what I'm going to e-mail you my phone number so we can try and get some other ideas....please don't give up cause you will be giving up on you....and we can't have that....
Talk to you soon...
Christine
