Depression and anxiety
My surgery is scheduled, 9 days away, and I still have NO clue what I need to have on hand for when I come home. IE... protien, vitamins, etc etc. (its the etcetera that I am unsure of). Not to mention the fact that I am going through some major bouts of depression. I can cry at the drop of a hat, and my children are freakin' that I may not come home. Has anyone experienced this and if so, what did you say to your kids? Alice... if you read this and still have my number, I could really use that support. =) Any advice that anyone can give is appreciated!.

Hello Jalonda
I had so much anxiety right before my surgery, I would cry if I dropped something. Just have faith that all will work out, I have a 23 yr old deaf son, and I just told him I needed to do this for my health and I would be fine. HAVE FAITH it really helps, as far as the Etc, have bottled water and sugar free ice pops they will be your friend for the few weeks after surgery. I had surgery 2 months ago and I lost 52lbs and I havent felt this good in years. Best of luck with your surgery an God Bless you
All the best
