Ignorance OR jealousy?

After having Thanksgiving dinner at my daughter's, we went to my brother's house, my aunt was there who has not seen me since May and also my sister in law who had not seen me in months. I wore a black suede jumper in a size large with a size medium red satin blouse. None of my family has ever seen me this small before, as prior to my surgery I had been MO all my life. My aunt was in awe and was telling me how great I look etc and she said to the sister in law "does'nt she look great" and my sister in law answered with "Her teeth look too big for her mouth" Everbody just looked at her, so she then said "well, her face is so thin now that her teeth look to big or something, they look funny" I thought to myself "she's showing her colours...GREEN". As my aunt was asking me more questions, my brother had to throw in his 2 cents too with comments like "if you lost weight before surgery, why's ya have to have a frigging operation" and my favorite was "You should'nt be eating there anyways" (because I was talking about having a SALAD at Denny's) This is the first negetivity that I have expierienced in my journey, at least to my face anyways. And of course it HAD to come from FAMILY. I chalk it up to JEALOUSY or ignorance. What do YOU think? A year ago, comments like this would have had me feeling so bad, I would have dwelled on them for weeks, now I simply don't give much of a s%$^ what they think!!! Ive come along way baby...so all you negetive people that can't say anything nice...build ya a bridge,,,and GET OVER IT!!! You AIN'T rainin on my parade NO MORE!!!! Sounds to me like someone is a little no a LOT JEALOUS of the new you Charl, just laugh them off and keep doing what you are doing as you are looking GREAT. Tony

I was feeling abit insecure wearing the outfit I did, it was above the knee and form fitting, and since I have a J-Lo butt I said I can't wear this, I modelled it for Larry and his words were "My baby lookin HOTTTTTTTTT, wear it!!!" The look on the s-i-l's face proved it! I was lookin hottttttt!!

Charl- Isn't family fun??????? It seems like some people feel since they are family, they have rights to say anything that comes out of their damn mouth!!!! Maybe your sis in law is jealous of the attention you are getting, who knows. Given how much you have lost I am sure you look completely different to them and they are trying to adjust, just wish they would do it with their comments to themselves!!!!
