Eggs
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone
Was looking to forward to my first egg, my husband made me a lighty scrambled egg with some cheese, not sure if it was the cheese or the egg but I could only eat a few small bites and then my stomach didn't feel so good.
For Thanksgiving I plan on having soup and maybe some potatoes I know they don't bother me lol
Question: I have a hard time drinking the water, does decaff tea and flavored waters count?
Have a great day

Kyle-
Sorry to hear the eggs didn't sit so well. My surgeon reccomends egg whites or egg substitute this early out so maybe it was the yolk? This monring I had some egg beaters with a little cheese (cooked and pureed)and it sat pretty good. I did get nervous though because after I had a burp coming up that got stuck and was pushing on the food, I thought I was gonna but when the burp passed through I felt fine.
As for the flavored waters and decaf tea, yes they do count. Anything caffeine free will count towards your fluid/water intake. I tend to have some peppermint herbal tea and crystal lite or SF kool aid (grape is the best).
Enjoy your meal tonight!!! I am having mashed taters and ground up turkey (pureed). Ohh yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is different with eggs. I was able to eat them with cheese almost right away. As a matter of fact, the day I went for my 2 week check-up, my husband and I stopped in a diner and that is exactly what I ate there. Others have trouble with them. Some do better with egg salad. As for the liquids, any decaf, clear liquid counts, even things like egg drop soup. See what works for you. Good luck!!

Eggs are funny. I eat scrambled egg beaters for 2 out of my 3 meals a day. I was in a pinch while traveling and ate the whites of two hard boiled eggs and I thought I was going to die (6 months out mind you). So just take it slowly, and you'll find out what you can eat.
Happy thanksgiving!
