Then the kids had pringles at lunch and I wanted one sooo bad!! I found myself watching a damn infomercial that was this grill thing and looking at all the yummy things they were making and it was torture, I MADE myself change the channel!! I can do this, I can do this, I KNOW I can!!!!!!!!!! Two more days of the liquid diet then it goes to belnded food, no chunks for a month, it HAS to get better!!!!!!!! Thank you all for listening to me vent!!! I know people have written about head hunger and man do I know where they are coming from. The first few days were so easy, I was in so much pain I didnt want to eat at all, but now, OH MY GOD!!!!!!! Okay I am done venting now, thanks everyone!!!!!! Janet

I know how you feel to a certain extent. I go back on Tuesday for my two week post op and am so looking forward to the opportunity to eat different foods with at least a little texture. I took my kids to see the Incredibles yesterday and the son Dash was eating a steak with broccoli and I wanted some so much I could smell it! LOL It is animation for goodness sake!!! LOL But I know that this is the way it is for now and I will look back on this in a few months and be glad it is over and glad that I didnt ruin my pouch doing something foolish. I stay away from the dinner table for now, I just cant deal with it but next week will be different thank the LORD! Just wanted to say I know how you feel. God bless you and keep you. ~Andrea

Janet, IMO.....this last few days before the 2 week mark are the WORST! You're starting to feel more normal, your pouch is healing, and this is the time I dealt w/ head hunger, too. Once I could eat (even just a bit of sf pudding), I was fine again. Have a sf ice pop, protein shake to fill you up to be sure it's not *real hunger, and then just try to find an activity to take your mind off it (I don't recommend the Food Channel! ) Hang in there.....you're doing great! Thanks Claudia!!! I think the hardest part for me is I have always been a carb addict and they are pretty much gone!!! It's like I am going through withdrawl or something!!! Trust me I am whizzing by the Food channel these days!!!! Janet

Janet, Don't worry this will pass I believe all of us post-ops go through this period of wanting food so bad. Just try as hard as you can and ride it out believe me I went through it. I even went through the mourning period of the food. (boy did it bite big time!) I finally got over it and now I am doing well. Janet if there is anything I can do to help please let me know. Have a great evening. Evelyn 247/151/147

Evelyn- I know I will feel that way very soon. I am not regretting my decision in any way, just frustrated with what I am going through right now. It's hard doing this and having kids and a hubby in the house. I knew I would meet this challenge though. I am stronger than food though and WILL get through this!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your support sweetie! Janet

Hi Janet. Whenever I am hungry, I have a little trick. I go to Taco Bell and just stand there watching the guys make the tacos with their weird latex gloves - -the same ones they wear to the bathroom. It's totally magic. I am no longer hungry. Seriously. All you have to do is spectate at T-Bell, and you'll have no trouble with wanting food. You'll be off it. Pronto. Good luck.
