Looking for supprot in buffalo

Hello, My name is Loretta and I am wondering if there are any support groups in the buffalo area? I am lucky to have a friend that just had the procedure with Dr. Caruana, and can ask her anything. I was just wondering if there are others out there that are not as lucky and would like to have someone to share their concerns and fears about the surgery and life changes. If there are already support groups I would like to attend them as well. I look forward to hearing from you. Loretta

Hi Loretta, There is a support group that meets in the lounge area of Dr. Caruana's office. This meeting takes place the first Friday of the month at 7pm. There will be no meeting in December. Hope to see you there in January. Susan

Loretta: I am preop and attend the meetings at Dr. Caruana's office also. The discussions mostly deal with problems that arise with postop patients and issues that come up the further postop you are. Very informative. There is another meeting I have been attending since June that meets the fourth Friday of the month at a church in the Depew area. These meetings focus heavily on food issues and supplements and are really a good source of info for preops.
