I need a little help!
Hello everyone,
I am coming here because i need alittle encouragement. Ok i am going to confess here because no one else will probably understand, i have been having a rough time with my vitamins and protein, I know that when I had the surgery this was a commitment I made to myself, but the reality is I am in college, work fulltime, and have a very active 3 yr old. i had the surgery in july and have been pretty good up until the past few weeks my schedule has just become absolutly bonkers, midterms papers etc.. I know that it's not an excuse but i remember at one point and then forget at another. I don't like most of the protein drinks i have tried, myoplex was the best but it's still nasty, I have a problem finding a good protein bar ( i brought the one by snickers but psychlogically I feeel like i am eatin candy) and can never fini**** I really don't know what the hell my prblem is on the happier note I have lost 60lbs (maybe a little more). Making meals at home has become difficult because i am out lot therefore I don't eat the right amount of food for the day, protein is the most difficult. please respond, thanks!
Hey there LaKisha! First of all take a deep breath and realx. Now let's get down to business is there anyway you can set up @ night the vitamins and all the other pills you r supposed to be taking? Tape them to the front door before and you go out you will see them and there is the solution(well it works for me )
I know you r busy w/ school and have a little one but you need to at least take some time for yourself, your going to burn out honey if you don't slow down ( I should learn to take my own advice)
I am hoping this has helped in some way. Also if all else fails call your doc and maybe he can give you a solution.
Have a great day! Remember take time for yourself!

Hi Lakisha
Yes take a deep breath and let it out and now take another deep breath and let it out......still not feeling releaf.....ok here we go with a few ideas
I use to work 3 jobs, full time college student 2 children and was pregnat with my 3rd child....oh boy what a day.....depending on my schedule for the day it went something like this I got up 1 to 2 hours earlier started cooking dinner at 4:30 am popped in a tae bo tape and worked out( after giving birth tae bo) before birth leslie sampsom walking tape just to get some exercise in.....jump in the shower....drop the kids at the babysitter.....hop on the train to get to class in the morning....run to one job after class....than jump on the train to the other job that ended at 11:30 pm....aren't you tired just listening to me....... well after work I drove to the super market 24 hour.... do the shopping for what I would need for the week.....go home throw a load of laundry in the machine but when I didn't have a machine I would do the laundry in the 24 hour laundry mat....... shower again even thou I was to tired to and jump in bed......no that's not right after taking a shower I would sit at the table to do my home work for class the next day and fall asleep on the table my son would wake me up some time durning the night and send me to bed on the weekend I worked in a restaurant after work I would do what ever cleaning that had to be done and the ironing for the week.....well I think you get the idea.....find a time for you....
Get up alittle early to exercise......if you have the week-end at home cook your meals pre-package them and freeze them take them as you go....and try to always sit down and read a couple of pages to your little one and after getting little thing to bed sit and take another breath....
try taking string cheese with you to eat..... try whey protien drink that is what I use now and it really is good no after taste and like I said it taste good.....
I hope this helps you in some crazy way just remember this schedule is not forever school will end at one point in your life and hopefull you will have a handle on it before than....
My thoughts and prayers are with you....
If you need me to help with the cooking just let me know
I'm here if there is anything I can do for you....
Christine
Yep - most of the drinks taste yuck but I have found that the GNC 100% whey protein in chocolate tastes just about as good as Nestles Quik, or whatever the hell they call it these days. Also - I am still making my protein tea. That's where I make a 26 oz mug of chia spice tea and add my scoop of protein powder, shaken with 4 oz milk, into it. I use a water bottle and sip from it til its gone. I am doing several of these a day, so I am increasing both my liquid intake and my protein stuff.
That GNC protein makes a pretty nice cup of hot cocoa too!
