Saw the cardiologist today grrrrrrrr

saw the cardiologist today. SSND. He said I am doing great and he will write a letter stating that, but he will also mention he feels it is not prudent for me to have this surgery based on my past experience with DVT. He then went into all the usual that I don't need this surgery and I should not think of it in terms of helping to prevent any other co-morbidities. IF I Had developed diabetis or something else he said maybe then he would reconsider. He said 1 in 100 die and I am at risk already. I suggested he come to our group and learn more about WLS (he didn;t seem to like that reply). My head is spinning!

Glad is is sending in a clearance for you but sorry he feels that way about the surgery....believe me I know how that feels my pcp wounldn't work with me.....but with all our prayers going your way and the experience of your surgeon and having faith....you will be approved for your surgery.....
