Hi all. I'm starting to think I'm not doing something right. Yesterday, I spent an hour looking at before/after pics...and some of these women who started at the same weight as I were losing so much faster......is it body chemistry, diet, exercise? HELP! (BTW....I'm 6 weeks out as of Tuesday) Here's what I ate yesterday..... 1/4 of the "guts" of a sausage, egg & cheese sandwich (my 17 month old ate the rest!) 2 slices golden delicious apple (cut the apple into 10 pieces, ate 2) 1/2 pear 1/4 c. salad greens 2 oz. grilled chicken breast 1 tsp. lf dressing 1/4 cup peanuts in shell 2 oz. ground beef, seasoned w/ taco seasoning 1 oz. cheddar cheese few lettuce shreads I didn't drink enough....but had about 1/2 liter of water and 1/2 liter of crystal lite......... Eating too much???? HELP! Claudia

I'd guess right off the bat - not enough protein and water. But don't compare yourself to other people. And be aware that some people list their "before" weight from their all time high, including weight they had to lose before surgery, etc., so it isn't always since the surgery alone. Or, if it bugs you that much, stay off the scale and jus****ch how loose your clothes get. Don't fixate on numbers, the scales move on their own. Best of luck. Mel

Thanks, Mel. I'm trying to up the protein. Today I found a bar I kinda like...it had 15 g. protein and only 1 g sugar..Dexatrim made it......so I had 2 of those throughout the day and will eat a "normal" dinner tonight...and I've had 2 liters of water so far....so doing better today....I do see my clothes drooping more, and I'm taking pics all the time, and can see a difference there...just anxious to get out of the "2s"........ Hi there Claudia, You are doing fine. to you. One thing you must remember is.... Do not compare yourself to everyone else. There will be weeks when your weight will remain the same and then "BANG" you will take a big drop. Just make sure you drink your fluids. Keep us posted...... Don't be so down on yourself either. You are doing great ....: love: Lorraine

Lorraine, MUAH! I love how you're always so positive and uplifting! I'm that I won't do enough during my "honeymoon" period, and will be left w/ more weight than I want. Deep breath.........waiting for that first big plateau! Claudia
