Hi All

Hi All, Thanks Alice for all of your support. I was down on Long Island yesterday for my pre-op and it went ok. But I found out that I will need to stay one week longer then I thought. My Surgeon wants me to stay close bye because I live so far away from him. I know why he wants me too and I am glad that he is looking out for me, I just wish I knew about it before now. I did get alot of my questions answered and that helped with alot of these feelings. I have so much to get done before Monday. My dad will be staying with me for the time I will be there. He has been so wonderful, But I have to find a hotel close because he has a hard time seeing and will walk to the hospital. So I spent most of the day yesterday trying to find something close. My husbend can not go because he can not get that much time off. We have tried but his work will only give a couple of days. I wish he could be there the whole time but I know I will be ok. Ok I am rambleing on. I just wanted to say thanks to all of you that have been here for me in my journey to WLS and to all of you that will be here when I am on the losing side. I will right again tomorrow.

Tammy~~~ Now take a deep breath and you will get everything done before Monday. Glad to hear that you had all your questions and concerns answered, that will be such a help for you. Did you get a food plan from him. Just purchase a few items, do not stock up as your taste will change after your surgery. What hospital will you be in? Please post again and let us know how you are doing. Remember we are all here for you!!!

Hi Tammy, I am also a patient of Dr Garber. Actually I may have been at the office at the same as you on Thurs! He recently did colon surgery on me, and hopefully WLS in Feb. He is a wonderful Dr, and you are in great hands. Where will you be staying on LI after your surgery. I also live on LI. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you. Tammy, Congrats on your up and coming surgery, wow 2 days from now.... great advise here, take a deep breath and relax when you can, stop thinking about it and take some time for YOU ..... and that is really great that your father will be with you.......I am having my surgery sometime in April/May...~crossing fingers~~ and I also am going to Dr Garber.....great DR and I live upstate NY as well but staying at my mom's out on the Island for the 1st 2 weeks.........
