back from my surgery!!!! ...
back from my surgery!!!!
hi everyone,
i had my surgery monday am. i was discharged from the hospital wed nite.
after my surgery i was feeling no pain, later on that nite aroung 8p.m. i felt nothing but pain. i had trapped gas in my neck and shoulder, that was the only point where i had doubted my decision but it eased up after alot of walking. and im back on track. the pain meds doc sent me home with is a pill, i cru**** and put it in applesauce and its very nasty, but it helps me with the pain so much its not a bad trade off. i am trying to drink i ounce every half hour but i am so full. right now i have the sweats am i trying to get to get it down too fast (im sipping, not gulping) also i wonder if this dizziness is from the pain meds and trying to walk a lot (is that possible) i know i should not be weighing my self already but i have lost 10 pounds!!!. i hope i dont sound like im complaining but as you probably alreadt figured out i have alow tolerance for pain. i would appreciate any advice
thanks

Congratulations on your surgery! Hopefully I will be joining you on the "other side" in 2.5 weeks! The dizziness could very well be from the pain meds, especially if they are narcotics. Also if you are dehydrated, that could make you dizzy. I know you said you are drinking though. Keep up the good work!
Beth
hi beth,
thanks for the support and congrats on your journey!!!!!
i believe it is from the drugs i have been keeping a journal and i only get dizzy when i take the meds. so im accepting the trade-off. i lost another three pounds. and i cant wait for you to have your surgery everything will turn out good.
i will be praying for you
maria
Hi Maria! Welcome to the Losing side! Your pains should be gone soon, if not I would call the doctor and let he/she know what's going on. The dizziness probably is caused by the Medication since it does not take much for us to get the affect anymore May you have a wondeful journey ahead of you! Reach for the stars!

hi evelyn, glad to be on the losing side!!!!
I BELIEVE THE DIZZINESS IS FROM THE MEDS. AS THE DAYS GO BY MY NEED FOR THE PAIN MEDS IS GETTING LESS AND LESS. WHERE I MIGHT NEEDED TO TAKE A PAIN MED EVERY 5HRS I CAN NOW GO 7-8 HRS.
SO IM FEELING BETTER EVERY DAY.
THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT.
YOU LOOK GREAT!!!!!!!
MARIA
Hi Maria~~
CONGRATULATIONS--YOUR A LOSER NOW!!
You just had majoy surgery...your not complaining! Sounds like you off to a good start. But if your still feeling dizzy today, call your dr and discuss this with him. And don't become a slave to that scale--it will drive you crazy!! Wishing you all the best!!
Alice
HI ALICE,
I HAVE READ ALOT OF YOUR POST AND YOU ALWAYS HAVE GOOD ADVICE.
IM FEELING BETTER. AND I KNOW I HAVE TO STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALE BECAUSE WHEN I HIT MY STALLING PERIOD I DONT WANT TO GET DISCOURAGED THEY SAY AFTER ABOUT TWO MONTHS YOUR BODY THINKS ITS STARVING AND YOU WONT LOSE ANY WEIGHT BUT TO KEEP UP WITH THE H2O AND PROTEIN TO GET IT GOING AGAIN.
YOU LOOK GREAT.
I HAVE ENJOYED ALL THE BEFORES AND AFTERS. CANT WAIT TO POST MINE.
THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS!!!
MARIA
