Hi NY!

My name is Beth and I'm scheduled 11/29. My surgeon is Dr. Howard Simon in Syracuse. I am getting so nervous. I am so glad that I found this board since my husband is not very supportive.

hi beth welcome aboard!!! my surgery date is november 23rd so i am experiencing similar feelings. it is totally normal. just remember the reasons you are having wls and that this is the beginning to a healthier you. this board have become a second family to me and the support is amazing just as the people. i wish you a successful surgery with no complications and hope you will keep us posted on your journey!!! shea

Hi Beth~~ Congratulations on making a decision to get yourself a healthier and much happier lifestyle. Your surgery is fast approaching.....sorry to hear that your husband in not so supportive. When you go to your Support Group meeting, why don't you ask him to come along. This way he can see and hear first hand from others and feel more supportive towards what you are going through right now. If you need anything just remember, we are just a post away. Hi Beth Welcome to this board and congratulations for doing this for you despite your husband. When I first decided to do this before I told anyone, I said I was going to do it despite anyone's support because this time it was going to be for me and that is how I presented it and believe it or not everyone came around really quickly. ANyhow, I am scheduled for next monday, I am really ready to freak. Just praying for the best. Good luck to you. Tina
