Is homemade boiled corned beef ok to eat??? I am searching for new meals---found out that I cannot handle chicken anymore. From the beginning it was ok but the past two times I had it, I had gotten horrible stomach/pouch pain.... Marianne

It's fatty, but a good protein source......sounds yummy! I've only had chicken a couple of times......I'm afraid! But I need to start getting some more protein......think I'l hit the store tomorrow and stock up on some chicken & pork! Good luck MF! Claudia

Hi Marianne! It's a little more money, but if you purchase the "thin cut" corned beef, (Frierich's brand is good) it's more lean, and easier to cut than the big slab corned beef. Plus, it looks nicer when you slice it and put it on a platter. MMM... you just gave me an idea for dinner this week! Corned beef and cabbage!!! (wait... too gasey!) scratch the cabbage!
