Donated blood today and almost fainted
Tina, I did not give blood before my surgery. When is your special day? Good Luck to you. Sorry to hear you almost fainted. Did you dr require you give blood,or was it your choice? Eat a good meal before you go OK?
I am not too familiar with the blood donating.
Good Luck to you...Keep us posted...Lorraine

Tina,
I am still pre-op but the Dr does not require us to give blood, I so wish I could but I am lucky to get through getting the blood tests that I need to have.......
I have gotten better over the years but I am still a very upset person when I have to have blood drawn.... I know people that just love to do it, they "feel" better after, both mentally and physically but not this one.....but I do wish I could.......
Good luck and take care,
Debra Peace
I have been an active blood donor for many years, both before my surgery and since then. The thing you need to remember before donating is to eat a proper meal. Some get faint from a first time donation. My son did when we went to donate last week. I look at blood donation as the one charitable thing i can do, and all it costs me is a little bit of time and a pint of blood which can save up to 4 lives
good luck!
