Did you all eat normally up until surgery, pig out like every meal being your last meal or diet? I'm scheduled for 11/15 I was supposed to lose 10 pounds before surgery but I can't get over all these emotions and am eating probably more than I should so I was curious as to what you all did. Thanks, Tina

Tina- I am scheduled for 11/15 as well. I know how you're feeling!!!!! I feel like every piece of pizza could be my last. It's awful and then I feel sick!!! blech!!! Thankfully, my surgeon did not put a lose weight restriction on me, but I certainly don't want to keep gaining either. Good luck. Let me know if ya get any good pointers! Janet

I was on a liquid diet (medifast) for 3 weeks prior to surgery but 3 days ahead of time I had "my last meal" of something I knew I couldn't ever have again. I would lose the 10 lbs though. Its easier for the surgeon to perform the operation when you have lost weight

I know the feeling...it's like you want a chance at everything, snacks, chinese, pasta ect. I have no surgery date yet,but a consult appt.I have to lose 5% prior. My insurence company requires that.I am trying to eat smaller portions to get my stomach use to this. Its hard! Marshmellos help replace the "chocolate" cravings.Cooking with orange juice and or slices adds something to meat, makes you fuller.I keep trying anything new.Good luck.
