GOOD MORNING TO MY AMOS FAMILY~~ I have been away from the boards and catching up is going to take some time! Thanks for all the e-mails and concerns. Happy to report that since my Grandson has moved closer--I get to spend more time with him. BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Melissa, I have been waiting to see that post of approval! You deserve nothing but the best! And a GREAT inspiration to us all!!! PLEASE--do not give up if you have run into a bump in your journey to WLS. Remember to keep records of everything--appointments, phone calls, names of the person you have spoken with and test results!! You also need to make friendly reminder call-you have to stay on top of your journey. You are reaching for a much healthier and happier lifestyle for yourself. Take a BEFORE picture, it is very important. It will become a way to "see" the new you. It takes a long time for our mind to catch up with our new bodies. On your "first" anniversary--you will be so happy you did Also save your last outfit. It will be fun to take a picture with your two legs in one side. HELP ME CATCH UP------- HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING--- WHAT DO YOU FIND EASY AFTER WLS--- WHAT IS THE HARDEST AFTER WLS--- PRE-OPS, HOW IS YOUR JOURNEY GOING--- At 27 months out, I am doing fine. Still have to work that tool -- to maintain my weight loss. But my stomach still rules!! My life--getting back my self confidence has make my life so much better. I am sooo happy and I have so much energy now--I just keep going and going!! It doesn't take away your problems, but makes them much easier to deal with. Getting in my exercise and water!! Have to work on that everyday! ALWAYS follow your drs food plan and take advantage of the honeymoon period--it is important to get in your protein and water and keep your carbs low. Christine~~~ You are so very supportive of Everyone, and we have been blessed by you coming to the board everyday! As for your journey, just keep it going, doing whatever it will take to get you to WLS!! YOU need to think about YOU and getting to a better place in life. As always, if you need anything, I'm here for you!! I will be coming to see you in the hospital when you have your surgery--I pray that we will meet very soon!!

Hi Alice Glad to see you are doing well. My surgery is scheduled for 11/15. I am excited and soooooo nervous. I know it is the right thing to do but scared anyway! Say a prayer for me. Thanks

Hi Tina~ Your surgery is just around the corner--You and Janet have the same WLS date and on the ride of your life right now. Get outside and take in everything because after WLS it will be a different place--a better place for you. Stay busy and I will say lots of prayers for you! Please post again.

Alice- You are the best!!! You always know when to throw in that inspirational post to push us all along!!!! I am scheduled for 11/15 and cannot believe how fast the time is drawing near!!! I am going through the whole range of emotions. Thankfully I have only had fleeting moments of chickening out, but I know I NEED to do this, not for everyone else but for me!!! It MUST be done, there is no way around it. I am scared but I keep telling myself that is okay, its natural. I thank God every day for my AMOS family. Everyone has helped me in so many ways. While I do not post often I read every day and I take it all in. I can do this, I know I can and with your and everyone else's help here at AMOS, I will. Thanks!!!! PS.
