??Any surgeries by Alan Posner, M.D. - Buffalo??

My insurer (IH) denied Dr. Caruana and gave okay for in-network surgeon Dr. Alan Posner. He does Laproscopic and not Open surgery. First, has anyone had this surgeon and secondly, his office said that both surgeries are the same, but they have different approaches. Is this true? Will the results be the same on the losing side? Yes, the surgeries are the same, but the execution is different. Instead of one long scar, you will have 6 little tiny ones. I know quite a few of Dr. Posner's patients and all seem very happy with him. I am a Caruana patient and am likewise very happy with him. We are having a group meeting on November 5 in the evening at Synergy, which is located next to Dr. Caruana's office and you are perfectly welcome to come and ask all the questions you want. Our meeting is not exclusive to Dr. C's patients. Good luck!
