Hey Mandee Everyone loses at a different pace so try not to compare yourself to other peoples weight loss, it will make you crazy. I just followed what my surgeon said to do. I also drank my water and I started working out at around 7 weeks per his instructions. That always makes you lose weight faster. Protein is also very necessary for Post-ops at least 60 grams a day, no more 30 grams per serving otherwise you won't absorb it all. I don't know if there are any secrets? LOL How are you doing at 8 weeks Post-op? Hugs Marilyn

Mandeep - what Marilyn said is so true. It's fine to want to know how others are doing but you can't be too concerned with comparing yourself because everyone starts out at different weights, heights, body compositions, ages, etc. I know that's easier said than done because even though I KNOW BETTER, I do like to know the progress of folks that were more like me. By that, I mean if I know a person who is in my age range, height range, pre-op weight range and basic body type, I do tend to be more curious about their progress. I guess it's human nature, huh? Well, with that said, I am 8 weeks, 3 days post-op and I am down 56 lbs. No secrets. Just can't eat like I did before (naturally) and trying my best to follow my doctor's orders as closely as my body will allow. I have been told to increase my water intake, up my protein, and incorporate more exercise to push the weight loss even further.
