Feeling a bit anxious...

I am 14 days post op. I have had no problems whatsoever and little pain until yesterday. My drainage tube is killing me. I called the doctor about getting it out but they insist they have no openings to do it until my scheduled appointment on Thursday. As much as it hurts, I am so nervous about how much it will hurt to have it removed. I have a low tolerance for pain ...Can someone tell me how bad it actually is?

Michelle, You will feel no pain when they take that tube out. You will in fact feel a sense of relief. The with that bulb forms a sense of a suction so it can drain the secretions. As soon as he removes it you will see how much you feel better. You have done well. Your road to recovery is now beginning so do enjoy it. God bless you..... You have been through the worse, now...... The drain removal dident hurt at all but it did feel very odd. I did feel really wierd with that bottle hanging off me and I couldent wait to get rid of that thing either, I am so glad I was there an extra day and they took it off before I left. Love Elaine
