I'm home, healing is going well. I've not needed any pain meds so far today. But I'm restless and bored. I don't *think I'm hungry, but don't feel quiet satisfied either. How am I going to get in enough nutrition w/ 1 oz./3 times/day..that seems to be all I can hold. I'm just doing the protein shakes right now...but 3 oz. total a day seems like I should be losing more than the 6 lbs. I've lost so far. I'm drinking as much as I can, but it's nowhere near 2 liters/day! What am I doing wrong? Claudia

Claudia, Congradulations on your surgery. Welcome to the other side. Try drinking some hot tea. It feels so good going down. I would also try drinking some water. JUst take it easy. You have just begun your journey. You have done well for just a few days post-op. Chicken broth is great also. Make sure you get your liquids in OK?? Keep us posted ....Lorraine P.S. I don't know if you remember that I told you I had friends in Hopewell Junction. I just came back today from there. I really enjoy it there. Again take care.

Hey Claudia It's too soon to get bored. Remember you haven't been out of surgery but a few days. You have alot of healing to do yet. Drink your fluids. Keep it near you and sip constantly. Hot tea, water, broth, have s/f jello and puddings, s/f popsicles. Follow the doctors guidelines until he changes your diet. It will be before you know it. But right now just enjoy your liquid diet. Be patient, that's the key. Claudia D D

My favorite - still after all this time - is to brew a cup of chai spice tea. I add a tiny bit of milk and a scoop of chocolate protein and it tastes yummy. I sip on that allllllllllllllllllllllllll morning. I make the tea/protein stuff in a 26 ounch mug. I do two of these during the morning part of the day. It will take you awhile to get that far. You will be just fine before you know it.. Oh - and quit with the scale or you will go crazy.
