Yippee!! I have a consult date!!

Good Afternoon Everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I have an appointment with Dr. Kurian! It is October 28th at 10:00! The receptionist told me to be prepared to spend two hours there that day (I imagine there's alot to do that first day). I'm soooo excited - I can't wait! My PCP already faxed me the referral so I'm all set! How did you all manage to contain yourselves waiting for your first consult.....I feel like I'm going to bounce off the walls any minute Take care for now, Cathy

That great Cathy! You know... she did Al Rokers surgery. Now you can say, "If she was good enough for Al Roker..." Now your journey begins! Be prepared for a lot of emotional ups and downs but in the end it is so worth it.

Congrads on your consult date. That is the first major step in going through the process (I am post op 3 days 9/27/04). Be ready for the list of things you are going to have to do. I kept a plastic folder with all my paperwork inside. I kept copies of all reports and I also kept a calender with all the dates for the different procedures I had. I stapled all the doctors business cards to the inside of the folder so I always had them. Your bounce will get bigger as the date gets closer, I am supprised we all did not loose mega weight just from the bouncing... keep us posted Paula
