you didnt' say which surgery you are going in for?  I didnt' use him but he is an excellent surgery for I believe the RNY and lap band.  I am not sure if he does the sleeve and from what I am told he tells people he does the DS but in the end, talks them out of it.

Thank you RBB825 for your response,I'm having the sleeve.I met with dr herron back in 09 but i was too scared.I like him from the moment that i met him. From the research that i've done i dont think that he does the DS.I feel very comfortable with him.I talked to people on oh who had RNY and the sleeve done by him and they were very happy.

I just had my sleeve done last Thursday (2/23) by Dr. Kini who is in the same group as him.

I really have enjoyed my experience with Kini and all of the staff there at Mt Sinai. Honestly, so far the most impressive thing was my hospital stay. Talk about great nurses and residents!

Pretty dang good actually. Still a little sore and it's still hard to sleep comfortably. I wake up about one or two times during the night. I think eating and drinking is the hardest part. Before 1/4 of a cup of food could be digested at one time I feel like. Now tiny bites and taking breaks inbetween. I actually bought baby spoons and that seems like its helping.

7lbs down post surgery, one week out. I can't complain one bit.

Just make sure you start walking right when they give you the okay in the hospital. I'm sure you'll be at the same place I was. There is a long walkway to two other units and then take the back hallway to make a big loop. You can even go into the other units and walk around them too, no one bothers you.
