Hello, First time back here in a LONG time. Mostly just been preoccupied with life. I messed up majorly and at this point...whatever. I won't bother the doctors and healthcare professionals or insurance companies with useless attempts anymore.

I am not bitter...I am not angry...I am not depressed...I am just being real.

I lost 90 lbs and I am 2 years out. I am thankful for the weight I lost.

Following up for life is not just about wt loss maintenance or further wt loss it is IMHO imperative for us to be healthy.....as we are never normal and need forever care for the issues that WLS can cause if not monitored...trading our morbid obesity for malnutrition can be just as deadly...

I know for me that shame has and can keep me from necessary appointments as can unsupportive providers...I now feel that I am worth the effort to seek out supportive and caring professionals that won't add to my shame but will work with me to allow me to be as healthy as possible (I do need a kick in the butt from time to time but that is not shame that is support and encouragement and a dose of reality when my denial keeps me down).

We are at risk for soooo many deficiencies, A, D, E, B1, B12, B6, Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, Calcium all sorts of anemias and bone loss/osteoporosis all treatable if caught... most quite cheaply..many don't pop up for years (Mine came at years 2, then year 5....)

You know I care and want the best for you, i encourage you to find clinical nutrition who will support you and monitor you for life because you are WORTH IT and because we want you around a long time, you have so much to give!!! (not trying to guilt you as you have to do this for yourself...)

It has been a long time for me if you check my profile you will see the info. I had been away for a long time. One of my biggest problems was that I stepped away and then during last summer I started putting the weight back on. Luckily I didnt lose all I wanted cause if I had done that and then gained it all back I would have been even more upset. Come Christmas time I got motivated and got back on track. Michael Clock at Ellis Bariatric has been so supportive. I've lost about 10 lbs since Christmas. I'm pretty happy. I did get a Wii and WII fit plus. It is not the total excersize I need to be getting but its great. I got on here tonight and its all I've done. I had a colonoscopy Monday and on top of the fill I had a couple of weeks ago I am a hard time with acid irratating me now. It seems everytime my stomach is empty it s worse. I may have to call Michael tomorrow to get his advice.
