For those who went to the NY Conference
The event came and went very quickly and I know I did not meet up with all the people I had hoped to. I know what to expect next year and will pace myself differently. I have a pro and con list about the entire experience. Enjoyed the speakers, needed more breaks in betweeen, did not like the food choices and the cookies and bread really bothered me, Got some great clothes form the swap, very grateful for that! Hope to have some life long frinedhips from the event as well. I needed more down time. Someone mentioned and I believe she was right on about it, we need to walk and rest in between and need more water and pee breaks. Good thought for the future conferences. I would do it again but I would tweek it here and there.

Congratulations on your surgiversary. Mine was on Tuesday. It was really nice meeting you at the conference. I agree with most of your comments and do hope they have another conference next year. It was great meeting so many new people. I love your picture. I have to find a new picture for myself.
Sorry - off topic
I have one question for you. I see you used Dr Cerebona. I actually almost used him but due to the complicated nature of my surgery, he couldn't do it. Do you know if the support group run by his practice takes outsiders? I am looking for a support group and my local one doesn't take outsiders. The hospital that I had my surgery done at is in NYC and it is too difficult for me to drive into NYC at night. I am willing to cross the TZ Bridge. Thanks.

I had a blast at the conference and look forward to doing it again. I met OH friends in person and made some new ones too. It was fun and soooo informative. I'm glad the pace kept moving. Since I'm local I didn't want that down time pacing the lobby. I also love the samples.
I thought sandwhiches worked well because it was easy to discard the bread and eat the meat with a salad. I don't do bread but a lot of us are cleared for bread in just a month or two. I also liked the sf cookies, but I wish they also had sf jello at lunch. Sf cookies are still pretty high calorie and high carb.

Loved meeting you all too! I'm typically not on this board, but am so glad I went. I did like meeting the prominent surgeons, hearing success stories and the sex therapist was a HOOT! I thought it was well worth the $, and I too liked the fast pace. I was lucky to have a room right near the ballroom, so I would run back for a lil break or to to put my goodies away!
I did bring my own foods bc I never leave home without them! hahahaha!
My only suggestion is to add one seminar on Life LONG After WLS, for those over 1 year post op, our specific concerns and maintence issues. Otherwise I was "entertained" well, and am so glad I went!
