Bariatric Advantage Suggestions??

I recieved my date.. August 19th 2009 For Lap RNY Yay now down to business.. The vitamins. I have a very hard time already swallowing pills so I was doing a lot of research and stumbled across bariatric advantage.. Now I have a "suggestion" sheet as to which how much and what supplements need to be taken. But it has flinstone chewables on here.. which makes me think they are not telling me something.. Now iv read a lot of your posts and I DO NOT want to mess this up. Im 23 years old and have a long time of living in front me. What is your suggestion? Any specific package deals on bariatric advantage?? I see they have lozenges and chewables... I want to make sure I keep my D up, B-12, Iron, I am well aware of protein.. but any suggestions? Now for the vitamins....... Bariatric Advantage can be expensive........ you may be able to find suitable liquids or chewables in Walmart or CVS............

Puritan's Pride is an on-line vitamin shop that frequently has buy 1 get 2 free or buy 2 get 3 free specials...... I get most of my stuff there.........

Make sure that your calcium is calcium citrate, read the nutrition label, not just the front of the bottle. I made that mistake and now have to take nine capsules a day to get the right amount.......... I'm not tossing them, too much money.......

Children's chewable vitamins is what I take........... the ones with iron........ I can't swallow the big multivites..... the rest are not too big for me.........

I am over 3 years out and still use a children's chewable once a day in the afternoons and an adult chewable once a day at night.

I use target children's chewable, they have actually more nutrients than the flintstone and are way cheaper. I also use Trader Joe's high potency adult chewables. My lab values are fine.

I do pay more for my calcium supplements because the only brand that I found that works for my and enabled to to get off additional vit D supplements is Nature's Plus chewable Nutrical Hearts (I get them at the vitamin shoppe). I have tried many different calcium supps over the years and this is the one that works for me. I have fingernails finally that are not like tissue paper, my skin is much better and my teeth have finally stopped cracking and breaking.

     Congrats on taking a step towards a healthier you!!! I am 9months out of gastric bypass and my baritec pills came from a company recommended by my nutritionist. If you don't have one set up I suggest you talk to your Surgeon or insurance to get more oriented. Second I can give you my company however every patient is different and every vitamin does not apply to everyone. So biggest tip before surgery get your surgeon or primary care physician to help you with this. I had my pills a week before my surgery. Since you have a hard time swallowing pills, this might be a good Calcium supplement for you.  You can mix it into any drink as it is in a powdered form.

It is called UpCal D I buy the big can, always had good labs with this.

oh my goodness! I just have to say I LOVE you're aviator picture!!!! Stitch is my absolute favorite! I have the little tabs on my crocs of him, i have a license plate cover, an antena ball, and a little guy in my window of him!  I love him!  I have pj's and all sorts of things of him!  :)  Just got excited when I saw the picture! :) 

I have a stitch tattoo!  Just like my avatar!.

so cool!  Wish I could! I have one tattoo and I passed out getting it- so I'm done with tattoos for now!  Maybe some day if i'm drunk lol!  That's so cool though! :)
