Has anyone ever tried OA for support and if so what where your experiences like??

Yes, many years ago.  12 step programs are an entity unto themselves.  As they say there, they work if you work it.  Support varies from group to group, I would imagine.  Bottom line is that you have to work the 12 steps and put all of your faith in a higher power.  It is not that easy for some people.

Yeah that whole higher power thing is tuff for me.  Thanks for your feedback though. 

BTW, I see you had your surgery w/ Dr. Ren, what were your thoughts on her?  I might need a revision and was considering her since I live in NYC.

May I ask what type of revision?

OA and all 12-step groups can be saviors for many; I truly believe they work if you work them....and the Higher Power thingie....that can be anything -  not just a God. I'm an Athiest and I always looked at the program itself and all the comforting support I got as my Higher Power.

I actually do not know the specifics, but certain things aren't working right and I need a second opinion on fixing things up.  One DR believes it's an anatomy issue that can be fixed, but another doesn't believe that.  So I need another opinion.

I don't think you will find a more talented and gifted surgeon.  I had very specialized surgery  and it was without incident.  She is really very good!  Feel free to PM me if you need more info.
