Group Meetings in the area of Binghamton, NY or surrounding areas?

I was wondering if there are any group meetings in the area of Binghamton, NY or surrounding areas of where I live. I live in Kirkwood, NY which is only five mins from Binghamton. I would like to get involved in a group to talk to others about the surgery and stuff and share our moments and other stuff about the WLS. ANYONE?

Hi Denise!  I'm just over the border in PA, and have been to one of the meetings they have for the Arnot (Ithica) group in Vestal at the library.  It's the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6.... 

I'm just starting my journey, and my own surgeon also has meetings, but I don't know when they are yet.  I'll find out on Monday when I have my first Bari-ssentials class.  I'll let you know what I find out.

Do you live down in the village or more 5 mile point?  I'm in the village all the time, have a friend that lives down there!  There is a group of us who hang out together, and two have already had the surgery and I am in the process, so we kinda have our own mini group...

there are meetings every third wednesday at the vestal public library at 6:30pm they run about 2 hrs and there are people at all stages of thier journey.... from inquiring minds to long timers....it is through Arnot Bariatric Center but ALL are welcome.feel free to pm me if you want more details.

There are pre (and) post surgery meetings at Dr. T's office at 33 Harrison St Johnson City NY and also at 1020 Vestal Parkway East Vestal NY. The one in vestal is the last wed of every month 7-8pm. The ones at Dr. T's office (sothern teir surgical) is the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7-8pm. They also have individual pre (or) post op groups. I am not sure of the pre surgery dates as I am post op. the post op dates are the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 7-8pm.

oh.....ps.... the groups are free of charge and facilitated by a licensed clinician from Southern Tier Surgical

All groups are open to everyone - weather you have had surgery or not and weather you have gone through Sothern Teir Surgical's program or another
