New to the New York Boards

Well I am usually post messages in the Pennsylvania forum because that is where I am having my surgery and where I grew up was in Pennsylvania...however, I live in New York state now and I figured I would pop in to the NY WLF and become friends with everyone here also!!! I kinda feel that the PA Forum is warm and friendly like everyone else on this site and helpful...except I feel that whenever I post something in that forum..I seem to get ignored..I get no replies or anything and I try to participate in converstations that others have and well...I feel that I am not being listened too..so I figured I would see how things go here. I am having my surgery at Barix Clinics in Langhorne, PA June 17th, 2009. I am excited and nervous at the same time...I am looking for someone to  help me with pre diet suggestions I have to lose ten pounds and my PATS are May 21!!

Welcome! It's funny I live in PA (just on the outskirts of Han**** NY) and had my surgery in NY....you live in NY and having surgery in PA....

Welcome.  I too am new to the New York site.  I live in NYC but I am going to Costa Rica for the surgery.  My date is 5/21/09.  I am excited, nervous and anxious all at the same time.  It's such a big step.  I just want to do it right and be successful.  Good luck to us all.  Any other NYC'ers out there?

Yeah I am having my surgery in PA because I went to this place called Barix Clinics down there. I was having a hard time finding a surgeon in my area that I felt I would be comfortable with. I have a woman that has done the surgery  for awhile and I feel completely comfortable with her. I live in Kirkwood, Ny it is on the border of Ny/PA also. Like just 5 mins from Binghamton.
