Anyone Else Have or Having This Issue @ One year out?
Orthostatic hypotension.....
drinking enough water...but bp drops by 20-30 while you stand from a sitting position?
What have your doctors said?
All the blood work comes back with no issues ( of what they test for )....
If you DO....you know how it feels to get so stinkin dizzy that you feel like you are gonna black out and plop...there ya fall.....
it's enough to make a guy start an OH/NY topic on it!! (thus...I did)

Might have NOTHING to do with surgery.
If it were me and my PCP couldn't figure it ut, I;d seek assist in my clinicial nutrition MD, if no go there I'd be seeking specialty care (cardiologist) etc....
Have they done a tilt test?
It can be due to meds (diurectics) cardiac insufficiency, things like blood loss...anemia, b12 or folate deficiency; diseases such as diabetes, cardiovscular disease, neurologic disorders etc
Read up...if you havent

also note dizziness can be r/t low blood sugar..many bypassers get reactive hypoglycemia. I also wonder what role lymphedema may play?

they havent done a tilt test. They took me off my bp med. all of my blood work is coming out ok.
So, if it continues I will check on cardiac testing.
Thanks for the links...that describes me for sure. See ya Monday!
i have been also having this problem. i have to be careful getting up too quickly. i was wondering if it was from the big change in bp from before surgery to after. prior to surgery i was running 130's over 80's and a couple of weeks after surgery i was running a 106/60's. i was wondering about sodium too.

Hmmmm....PRAISE THE LORD IT IS NOT JUST ME!!
I know that sounds bad...but you dont know how relieved I am that this is happening to others...and not just me.
if this problem continues this week...I am going to insist that they do some cardio tests.
I fell today...on concrete stairs....but that is because my leg gave out....so...who knows. My doctor is probably tired of me by now.

Please don't shoot the messenger... I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but if I were you I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Lindstrom.. You could die before she would react... Sorry but it's the truth.. I could have died from an allergic reaction I had after surgery that she OUTRIGHT refused to treat... Check with the AMA there's multiple complaints filed against her...
