You are so wonderful Jamie. Thank you so much. It has been an interesting journey, sometimes very painful, and sometimes extraordinary and amazing. I have gained back about 20 pounds and am struggling a lot with the emotional shame and physical challanges of trying to stay right with eating and keep moving. Some days are better than others. I am so glad I had this surgery, and I take every moment of sanity and do the best I can to treat myself with dignity, honor, and respect.

Thanks again. You are a dear, dear friend.

Amy,
I have done extensive research on our surgery and
EVERYONE hits a LOW weight and then fills out a slight bit .. no one can keep the lowest # unless they literally starve

Your body starts to absorb more calories at the 2 year mark AND HEALTHY Is so much more important for us to live and excercise is CRITICAL TO MAINTAIN

stop it where u r  NOW and enjoy life instead of worrying about losong the level off weight ....

I was ten lower at my lowest and I looked like drawn out and dead
even tho my body felt great LOL my face looked like HELL

I gained ten filled out in the face and have been maintining that ten since  March of 08 its now over a year and IM still comfy.

I'have to starve to lose the ten.....my body said no way .....
my brain said enjoy life ... worry to live a "normal: maintenenace

NO SHAME at all grip

HAPPY 3 YEARS

Thanks Fern for your input. I am trying to just find a way to get right with my eating. I have been doing a lot of emotional eating this past winter and that has put on 10 pounds above 10 that I had gained after year 2 post op. It is so hard to be sane about this stuff. But I will keep trying to stay focused on health and wellness rather than the numbers on the scale!!!

Thanks again,
Amy

Amy!! Congratulations to you. Don't fret about your rebound gain ... you are FABULOUS!! Look where you started and where you are now. If you are healthy and labs are good, then you are and surgery was successful. End of story. Of course, try to gain control of the emotional eating stuff. But know what an amazing job you have done. And remember all the help you have given to others along the way (like me!).
Big hugs --
Maria

You are so sweet my dear. I'm glad you have felt my support as I have yours. I am very impressed at how far I've come and I guess now the trick is to find a way to be sane around food and body. You look amazing! Are you feeling well?
Hugs,
Amy
