Does anyone have any experience with Dr. Rahman at Arnot Ogden?  I couldn't find him anywhere on this site.  Wondering if he is new to Arnot?

I'm having my surgery May 13th at Highland with Dr O'Malley.  I work for the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre and they don't do any WLS.  A lot of our employees used to go to Arnot because it's so close (20 minutes away) but the outcomes were just not good enough so our insurance now only covers wls procedures at Highland.  Maybe things have changed at Arnot, but I would seriously look at Highland they have a really well organized program.  I hate to say it but I'm under the impression that Arnot "dabbles" in it.

I had surgery performed by Dr. Rahman on June 1st, He is new to Arnot Bariactrics, Arnot is a center of Excellance, this means they meet special standards .
I have had a text book experience,My recovery when just as planned, went back to work after 4 weeks,
I found his office staff to be very helpfull, the dietician does  2 more session to help you progess through  the post-op diet stages. Also the dietician is avaiable via the e-mail for questions.
Dr. Rahman is good at answering questions, and I was pleased with him.

My daughter had RNY in Jan, also by Dr. Rahman, however she has had some complication, strictures, Gall Bladder Pain , and an unexplained pain in her left side.
He has been very attentive, and has worked very hard to help solve her problems.

You never know who will have complications,
SO, I hope this has helped !!
If you have any other questions, I will do my best to answer them for you.
Good Luck!!

I have Blue Cross / Blue Shield,
Have you had the 4 hour session? In that session, the lady who deals with the insurance, will explain what your personnel  insurance needs to qualify.
May I also suggest a couple of good books,
WLS for Dummies and DR. Becks Weight Loss Solution.
Have a Great Day

Hi,
Barns and Nobles have both of them,
WLS for Dummies, walks you through every step of the process and Dr. Beck's help you deal with
changing behaviors, that will be needed to maintain your diet and  promote  life long success!!
I read your blog, Loved the Jubilee . Any thing that reminds us to be filled with joy of the Lord is a good thing.
The next apt will be comning fast. You will like Angie, she is young, full of energy, and very easy to talk to.Usually they want a sleep study ,cardiology consult, and  an Endoscopy.
The endoscopy will check out if you have any damange fron gastric reflux.
