surgery date change
i couldn't be any happier, going in a day earlier. Also pleased they told me i got approved and i didnt even know they submitted yet so now i wont have that period of annoying waiting.
woo hoo for me...
so......lists....
anyone have a good list of what to bring to the hospital. im thinking of loading a movie in my ipod touch to watch...i figure i will not be well enough to concentrate on reading a book.
should i bring pj's and slippers? Do i have to shower there or will they let me wait until i get home....
any suggestions????

I am a shower nut!!! I insisted to take a shower! and oooooooh did I feel so much better after that shower!
I took way too much to the hospital...things I really needed and was glad i had
CHAP STICK!!!!!! a must dont forget!
Pillow from home, nice to have your own in the hospital plus good cushion for the belly on the ride home.
slippers!
toothpaste... hospital toothpaste taste yucky
clothes for going home
one thing I didnt have and wished I did was a bra! I send my clothes that I wore to the hospital home with the hubster. I had only brought a big baggy hoodie, undies and a pair of loose sweats to wear home. I couldnt wait to get home to put a bra on...terrible back aches without.

I was told to bring pajamas - truthfully there was no need. A robe and slippers are fine. Chapstick yes, very important. Brush for hair and scrunchie to pull it up. I was able to read, so not sure perhaps tuck a paperback into your bag. Some hospitals are VERY funny about mp3 players/ipods - interacting with electronic devices on nursing floor plus theft issues -- I had to give mine up at admission (dh took it home) but then in the room a lady had her blackberry right there.... grrrr. Am I the only one who follows rules?
