please need colonoscopy dr referral

I need to have a colonoscopy and Im terrified because I weigh 370.Does anyone have a dr in the NY area that they used , when they were morbidly obese,.

I live in Staten Island,so anywhere would be good.Thanks

Well, I live on Long Island, so I'm not sure if you'd want to come all the way here, but...

Before my surgery, when I needed the gastro clearance and endoscopy, I went to Dr. Adhami in Babylon.

He is wonderful! He does the endoscopy right in his office in a nice little surgical area. I am not sure whether the colonoscopy is done there, too. But, if it is, it is very convenient. I don't know that he specializes in obese patients, but he was very good to me and I had no problems with my endoscopy. I was between 330 and 340 at the time.

Oh, and...ETA...I know his name sounds very foreign, but he is very, very American. I know some people prefer not to go to doctors that they can't understand, but Dr. Adhami is fabulous and you can understand everything he says LOL =) He's kinda cute, too! LOL
