How cool!  My nephew turns 18 that day as well, and he saved my life once before.  I feel he is doing it again!

thanks everyone for the congrats!

I do have 2 close friends who used the Arnot group, but with me living in PA and not being comfortable driving so far, I am glad Dr. T is doing the program again.  He came very highly recommended by my doctor's nurse, my dad, and a close family friend who is "high up" in the administration at UHS.  I know he wouldn't steer me towards someone he wasn't confident in even if it is with the same hospital....

Don't get me wrong.. Dr T could be your perfect Dr match but I work at UHS and have had a couple frumpy run ins with him so I knew it wasnt the realtionship I wanted to have a dr who was making such a transition to me. I knew a friend who had went thru Arnot and reccommended Dr Cole. I liked the holistic program approach. I am glad that Dr Ts office has developed such a program as the one big thing we all need is support.

There is also a support group 1 wednesday a month I think its like the 3rd Weds.. at the Vestal Library and we meet from 6:30-8.

believe me, I've worked in health care in the past, and there are PLENTY of doctors who I don't get along with LOL!  One thing I've generally seen with surgeons... most of them, no matter how good they are, are a bit ****y.  Given the level of training they have, and how few actually make it past the training, I guess I would be ****y, too!

I am planning on going to the meeting next week with my 2 friends from the Arnot group if my schedule lets me.  My hubby and youngest son are leaving for DC early that morning, so not sure I can make this one.  (Depends on oldest son's baseball schedule and dinner/errands.  With hubby gone I'm a "single-married mother" again.  (He worked 2nd for a long time, so everything fell on me.... cooking, cleaning, errands, kids, etc....)  anyway, if at all possible, I plan on being there!
