I have three things I am m proud of today! They are all huge victories for me...

Firstly, I am graduating with my Bacheors in Social Work May 21st!  I am soo excited I dont know what to say. I have one more year of schooling then I will have my masters! I hope to open a private practice and counsel out of my home on a sliding scale of course. I want to work with bariatric patients and people suffering from addictions. I guess because I am part of the club it is my passion! If you know of any clients... lol

Secondly, I have been going to the gym like a feind!  I LOVE THE GYM!!! I can't believe I can say that and mean it. I just see myself getting stronger every day at the gym.  Today I was able to do 30 minutes on the eliptacle!!  6 weeks ago I couldnt do 30 seconds with out my knees giving out. I also did 20 minutes on the cybex arc trainer thingie. 6 weeks ago I could only do 2! I have been able to walk 1.5miles in 33 minutes! I am buring an average of 600-800 calories a day at the gym and loving every minute!

Lastly, I have started a support group.  I have stuck with it and gone through the training and finally got approved for a meeting place here on Long Island.  My groups first meeting is April 23rd! I have so much to prepare for! I have to get fliers made for the events in May and write up a mission statement and on opening speech. I am so nervous but so excited.  For the first time I feel filled with purpose and I am motivated to succeed! Without OH I might never have done this so thank you to my new found friends for life!

So tell me NY... What are you most proud of today??

Well, first and foremost...

I am proud of....YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are such a determined person!!!!!!  So many things are falling into place for you and you deserve every bit of it!!!!

I love you soooo and I am so glad to be starting POSE LI with you! I can't wait for our first meeting on April 23rd!!!!

Now, as for my own proud moments----

I am proud that I made the move to have this surgery!
I am proud that I am not ashamed of my decision--sometimes I want to scream it from a rooftop, but I restrain myself, LOL
I am proud that I have totally changed the way I eat and that I take care of myself.
I am proud that I am strong enough to admit that I have not being going to the gym enough, but...
I am proud that I am getting back on track and going on Monday morning! (after my darn period lol)
I am proud that I have lost 99 pounds! (84 since surgery)
I am proud that I am starting this support group with Rachel!
I am proud that I am following my doctor's guidelines and then some.

I am just proud that I am re-claiming my life!

I am planning on going back to school to finally finish my degree!
I am planning on becoming a teacher.
I am planning on having a baby one day--and I can finally see that happening--Before surgery, I never could see it really being true!

So, I am just proud....proud of doing all of these things that will give me the life I want!!!!!!!!
I now believe that I deserve that!

Can't wait to hear from the rest of you!
Great post, Rachel! ::smooch::

Hugs to all, Heather

I am so proud of both of you girls!
It is so wonderful that you are able to take charge of both your lives and your weight while you are still young enough to have a full and wonderful life! You are both doing so well that I am just thrilled for both of you!

Now for me...
I am proud that I have lost over 100 pounds.
I am so happy that I can breath again and it allows me to be so much more active.
I am proud that I fought with the insurance company and won both times!  I didn't give up!
I love living life after my RNY and I know that I will live longer than I had  had stayed so morbidly obese!
I look forward to losing the rest of my weight and finally getting to goal...
I am also looking forward to our first POSE meeting!
Love,
Marcia
