Hi Everyone! New to the Board

Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kristi, I'm scheduled to have gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Shawn Garber on 6/1/09. I haven't quite figured out all the ins and outs of this website yet, but I'll get there.

Hopefully I can learn alot from everyone here and all of your experiences.

Hi and welcome to Obesity Help! Also, congratulations on being scheduled to start your journey. You are in excellent hands with Dr. Garber and staff.

June 1 will be here before you know it!! The people on this website are here to get and give support, so ask as many questions as you can think of before your BIG day arrives, and I am sure you will get numerous answers. Everyone on OH is non-judgemental, supportive and kind. Most have been exactly where you are right now and are happy to help.

I wish you the best of luck as your surgery approaches.

Welcome Kristi,

The time between now and June 1st will fly. I am sure that you will have so many questions and there are so many people here that are willing to share their experiences. You will be going through a huge amount of physical and emotional changes in the next several months to a year. Find yourself a support system of people who will be there for you when you need them (people here on OH, family, friends, local WLS people etc.) this support will really be important for you.

Hold on tight, this WLS thing is a wonderful and wild ride!
