Does everyone need to do a 6 month diet that has bcbs?

there are many diffferent versions of BCBS.... some gotta do the six month thing some do not.... I have EMPIRE BCBS EPO and i did NOT have to do a six month diet. Call the number on the back of your card and ask them to send you the coverage book. It pretty much will outline what is required for approval... i found it strange that when i called to ask about my bariatric coverage they would not read it over the phone to mee thay had to mail it... strange... It took me like 2 months for the testing and stuff that you have to do preop. I was approved by BCBS in one week from my last appt. I was amazed. I hear that BCBS is one of the better insurance companies to have for bariatric surgery cause i hear the cover it fairly often. Good luck with the approval process... it will go faster than you realize.
