Nutritionist Appointment

Hello All - I have an appointment on Tuesday with the nutritionist. This is the final hoop I need to jump through for clearance for lap band surgery.

Are there any questions, etc that I need to make sure I took to them about? what should I expect?

Make sure to get a detailed food list for each of the stages after your banding.

Congrats on your laaaaaaast appt! YaY!

I know it's been a long road, but it will all be so worth it very soon! I am so excited for you to start the rest of your life--healthy and happy--and lookin' hot! LOL

Best of luck with your appt.! I would just make sure you check on your guidelines for each stage after surgery. Like, ask what to do during the liquid phase, purees phase, and later. =)

Hey Jennifer,

Lisa Gentile is absolutely thorough. She will go over diet, protein shakes, mushies and everything else with you. She is awesome! She will also hand you a diet plan for ur pre-op and 6 week post op diet. So you will be set! 

She also makes herself very available to you! She will give you her email addy and actually once she does can you forward it to me because i lost it lol.

 you will do great hun! It is scary! I was petrified when i finished everything. scared my ins wouldn't approve me. scared of dying scared of failing scared of surgery scared alll the time but it was the best decision i ever made! 

Rachel - I think you hit it. I'm afraid. I know this isn't a super dangerous surgery...but it still freaks me out. I know once I get it all done, I'll wonder why I was panicing for nothing.

It is completly normal to be afraid of surgery. We all had the very same feeling.  Just try your best to relax and know that we all did it and we are still around to be there for you!  Soon you will have your day and I know that everything will just be wonderful for you.

Fear and excitement mixed together can be exhausting...
