How is everyone doing? Must be perfectly as so quiet here!

It seems that all must be perfect in the preop and post op bariatric world in NY state as there has been very little activity here! That is my assumption based on no osting!

Please check in with an update! Getting current always helps me either get out of a rut or keep going on my journey!

I am here working on my balanced postop life finding how to fit in exercise in a healthy moderate way; working toward emotional presence, learning to make room for all of my emotions and allow myself to feel them, experience and work through them VS EAT over em or avoid em or the like! I am also still doing daily meditative work around this and affirmations...
It is not all perfect nor is that my goal but I am making real progress and have not abandoned my long term goals!!!!

Hi Jamie,

Glad to hear you're doing well. Meditation soinds very interesting. I praacticed a couple of years ago but have fallen off the wagon lately. I always "mean to" get back to it, but don't. Today I have my final PCP vsit before submitting to insurance for approval so I'm feeling a little nervous and excited. Wish me well and enjoy your day!

Check in Christina how did the visit go?

It is very NORMAL to have jitters preop!

How I found inner peace with my decision to have WLS I considered how MY CHOICE reflected the responsible, powerful masterful spirit that I was and that I was ready to start creating miracles in my life...

Anxiety/fear is common and normal, consider embracing the feelings, they are only that feelings they have a beginning/middle/end and serve us well if we listen vs avoid/repress/stuff them. See this opportunity as one where you can grow. I was motivated but scared as well of dying..a hard decision but one I do not regret making....

be well....keep posting!

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for your kind reply. I too am ready to change how I'm living and start creating miracles in my life. I know that WLS is the right choice for me. I think of it as a great gift to myself.

As for the feelings, I am managing them and trying to give them all over to my HP in prayer. I do fear not waking up from the surgery but intellectually I know that the chance is small and that I am strong enough to make it through.

Hiya Catlady,
Glad to hear you're honoring moderation in your life. It's a sane place to be... I knew it some time, a while back, but have lost my way.

Just got back from a long day at school, and am in a constant state of self questioning regarding my capacity to be an NP!

All in all, life has been challenging lately, but nothing I didn't opt for. I am trying to stay positive and open but have been feeling kind of fed up and cranky lately.

As for body, weight, nutrition, I seem to be maintaining a 15 pound weight regain since my lowest weight, and am hoping the spring gives me motivation to start losing a bit of it....not as healthy feeling.

For the interim, I am putting one foot (exhaustedly) in front of the other, getting thru the long winter days.....
You keep being sane and moderate. That is a beautiful thing!
xoxo

HI Amy dear friend...Ahh yes the stress and challenges of NP school; looking back I learned some very valuable lessons like I can be overwhelmed/scared and do things anyways, also that I can do anything I set my mind to! Now I also learned that managing that stress with food didn't work! (I topped out at 320lbs day of graduation and I was certainly neglecting myself in many ways...) but alas it lead me to my current journey and if I remember those lessons they do help!

Although I am sure my challenges are quite different i am still finding ways to embrace my stressers (especially setting boundaries and limits with work and home priorities****rtainly feel better but have along way to go and that is ok today.

Thanks for posting HUGE HUGS!
