Hello from NYC

Thanks. Im really considering either st lukes or mt sinai,

my sister lives around st lukes  but i know mt sinai is a good hospital too from experience.

Well i'll see who takes me first or something lol.

I have affinity health plan and so far ive seen noone with that insurance here but like i think i saiid i called my doctor and they said it should cover the surgery.

Dr Pomp is there I believe...he does DS and RNY.

 I had my surgery with Dr Kurian in early 2007 when she was at Lenox Hill Hospital and now she's with NYU Medical. I tell you, she is the best!  I did not have many problems to date -and I do hear horror stories. I think it's because she really is an excellent surgeon.
I would highly recommend her.

I want to second the NYU Program. I chose them, because I wanted the Lap Band and with that particular surgical procedure probably the best in the United States. Everyone in their office has been so helpful. My surgeon is Dr. Fielding, but I have not met him yet. My surgical consult is scheduled for February 24th. However, I am extremely impressed by his credentials. The only negative if their practice is very busy and sometimes I have had problems with people returning my phone calls and replying to my email.

I think im going to go to mt sinai though Its closest to me.

And i was born there maybe they reconize my butt and i can get revenge on the doctor who slapped it 20 years ago lol kddin.

I am not saying anything is wrong with your choice, but it should not be made by what is closer. Narrow it down to 2 or 3 recommendations and then go talk to those surgeons. Pick the one you feel the most comfortable with.

im not 100% sure but i heard the albert einstein hospital in the bronx did wls.

does anyone know if its true?.

I can trust the doctors but  i know that sometimes the nurses have  additudes and are kinda rude. ive gone to that hospital alot
