How is your week going? Check in please it is AWFUL quiet here!
In my attempt to stay current, present and on track with my long term goals of physical and emotional growth and helath I need to have a community. I am here, doing my daily deeb reathing, my daily meditation and positive affirmation CD. I have been sleeping better! I am leaving work on time! I am taking care of me. This past w/e I went to the spa with a friend and got a 60 min hot stone massage! Heavenly! Monday I got a pedicure with my nail fill...lovely! More taking care of me!
I have been finding more success in exercise balance than the old obsessive addictive nature I had a year ago or more...
I am able to go to the gym 2x week and be ok with that and do some on my elliptical at home 30 min 203x week and be ok with that! I feel much healthier all around.
I am reading daily positive supportive readings, I am not yet faithful to daily journaling but getting that in 2x most weeks. I have been doing 1-2x week in CODA meetings as well for support!
I have not licked the emotional eating and know this is a gradual growth process and determination is key. I am determined to reach my goals..
How are others doing? Please check in good bad or otherwise!
:hugs:

Hi Jamie,
I have had a rough few days at work. I was concerned that I would find comfort in food as usual. I am proud to tell you that I was still able to lose this week...I tried to choose foods that are good if I did find myself looking to food. I actually found it difficult to eat as the situation at work was a very emotionally challenging one. So....I guess what I am trying to say is that I guess I am slowly changing those bad food habits a little at a time. Sometimes we must find success where we can, right?
I had today off from work, so I exercised with the WII - that was great fun! I am hoping the cold weather will break soon so that I can get back out to walking the dog on a regular basis...(I live in a rural area) this will also help. I have never been an exercise fan, but ya know, I find myself missing it when I don't do something.
I heard from my primary care doctor that he FINALLY received my records from my bariatric surgeon, so hopefully I can finally get some support from a team of folks closer to me than where I had the surgery. This has been difficult for me as I have had to depend on mostly online forums like this & people that I work with who have also had the surgery.
I weighed in today and have hit the 115 pounds gone mark...not lost - I am not trying to find it again!!! - but gone - FOREVER -
Take care and keep up the good work...you are an inspiration to many, including me!

Thank you for checking in. I appreciate the honesty and am honored that you share your wisdom here with us all. I appreciate the feedback and compliment.
I agree sometimes success is small, other times quite profound. I beleive recovery is a lifetime journey and if the first step is awrenss and the second is healthier choice then out next sstep can be not even turning to food perhaps!
Good for you! I find I do not want to deny or repress or get rid of my stressors, they are valuable lessons and opportunities for my personal growth, instead I want to accept them and embrace them and lern to live with them in balance!
Have a good day! HUGS DEAR!
