Nectar
I tried one of the Nectar's tonight. The Fuzzy Navel one which wasn't too bad. I am preop so am trying to find a few I like even though I know my tastes will change. I absolutely hate milk and have since I was a baby so I will not be able to have any of the protein drinks that you ad milk to. I have tried a couple with milk and water and the milk makes me sick to my stomach.
Anyways, my question is since the Nectar is mixed with water and there is no milk base I can keep it in the frig to keep real cold right? I thought I would make a whole 16 oz and just pour 8 oz in a glass at a time and keep other in the frig?
I know with the milk base ones you shouldn't let them sit for a long timebut it is ok for the Nectar ones right?
Also could I put the nectar in my diet white tea that is rasberry flavor or maye a glass or crystal lite?

I make and recommend others make shakes ONLY with water and ice, although all whey protein is milk based even the nectars. Protein should be consumed in 30 min so do not make it ahead! It is not advisable to mix it up in advance, as we know it loses its protein integrity (but how much?), and it begins to gather bacteria after as little as 30 minutes.

I use whey protein isolate powder (it is 99.9% lactose free) which makes it tolerable for me. If you are saying that you have a lactose intolerance you can find many(most) kinds of whey protein isolate powder that are 99% or more lactose free. I use www.Netrition.com They are very reasonable relative to price and they also carry the Syntrax Nectar. I recommend getting samples where ever you can and trying them after surgery before investing in them now.
I have to admit, I make my whey protein with low calorie OJ, or low calorie hawiian punch or low calorie grape juice...I even add a little blueberries or, strawberries, or peaches. I guess it will be up to what your pouch can take, it won't add that many calories.

dont buy anything in bulk/reg size until after your surgery. Right now, gather the samples. At the obesity help online store as well as through some other online venues, you can purchase reasonably priced sample packs... trust me on this... your taste buds AND sense of smell will be soo out of whack for a few weeks that you may think you will tolerate absolutley nothing & in your dispair of trying to find something palatable, you may get depressed & think you will starve to death of protein malnutrition... of course being MO & qualifying for the surgery in the first place, makes us some of the last individuals who will die of imminent malnutrition!! This is the part after surgery that a lot of us forget to talk about... but it does go away..... this was my experience anyway,,,, I am not trying to scare you...
I thought I was doing myself a favor by purchasing a bunch of protein drinks i would like, only to have them be sooo untolerable that a few actually made me barf! I am a few days shy of my 1 year post op & only now am able to tolerate most protein drinks.... Seriously consider various brands... My favorite now is Unjury, esp the Chicken Soup- 21 grams of protein with a novel approach. You can order Unjury in sample sizes to try... it is by far my favorite & only recently found it!!!
