NY meet and Greet???

OMG....how different I looked then...I believe I was 4 months out of surgery and not at goal yet.  Check out Karen...what a HUGE difference!

I met a bunch of OH friends in Manhattan. Some came from NJ, Pennsylvania, and even upstate New York. We had a great time. Met for lunch at Jeckyll and Hyde and then split into smaller groups to do different things.

We had a great time and all had to do some amount of traveling. Whatever you come up with sounds great to me. I always like to meet some of my OH friends in person. Keep us up to date on the plans.

I am so glad to see the NY board picking up a bit! Last year when i had my surgery this board was pretty much dead!!! I would love to meet everyone! Bandsters, RNYers VSGers etc!! I am so excited.

I am deffinately going to look into putting something together. Hunnibear suggested we do some kind of activity and I think I am allll for that!!!! Im thinking either bowling or maybe some indoor volleyball... Maybe... I will set up one activity every month or every other month at different places in NY so we can have fun! What does everyone think about that???

I think it sounds great! I'd love to meet new people! And, also it'd be great to see friends, too! It's funny because my support group leader, Maryellen was in that pic! hehe And, Lisa, I think I know you...i may have bowled with you recently! LOL

Anyway, just let me know what you decide to do and let me know if I can help! =)

If you're going to plan an activity, just try to make it something that all different physical levels could take part in. =) That way, we can welcome everyone!

Hey Lisa!  Would you do me a favor and send me a note when you guys decide where you will get together.  I don't get on the board much and I would love to try to make it.

I know! I had such a great time that day!!!! We should definately do that again soon!!! See if you can make that happen.. hehe =)

Hey Christine!

We do this as part of our LIPO support group! Each month, we meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month for a meeting and then each month we do a physical activity--last month was bowling, this month will be Zumba--this dance aerobic thing!!  But, I don't think you have to attend one to attend the other...like if you couldn't make the meetings, you could still join us for our activities....or vice versa.

Oh, our meetings are at 7pm (I think LOL) at the Connetquot Library--or when we can't meet there, we meet at panera Bread in Sayville.

Maryellen R, one of the leaders always posts on the NY board about the meetings and the activities, so you'll know exactly when they are! =)

Or, I'm sure you could message her... =)   You shoud come! It's a great group! It's been very helpful to me!!!!!
