NY meet and Greet???

I would love to put together a meet and greet in NY. Anyone interested? How can we go about setting something like this up?

I'd be willing to meet up in the Syracuse area or somewhere not too further east from there.

Maybe a couple of buffalonians and I could carpool....

im on long island too... I want to try to set up something local... maybe I will try to set something up.... I will look into it... if i did, i couldnt put up the cost... so everyone would have to chip in a bit... unless i did something semi small in my apartment... then i could cook...

That sounds like a great idea!!! Maybe we should go bowling!! There is an awesome bowling alley in farmingdate i think on 24 right before it hits 110... when should we do it?

I know which one you're talking about...on Conklin(24). There's also a nice one on 110 in Melville, but that is a pretty pricey one because it is not a regular AMF, it's a Club 300, so its supposed to be fancier. There's also a good alley on Jericho Tpke in Syosset--Syosset lanes.

I have no problem traveling on Long Island, but sorry Syracuse is a bit far for us Long Islanders, I think....

maybe we could schedule it for the spring, after the icky weather. That way, there's no chance of snow hindering our travel. But, we could start thinking of a date and posting now to see if we can geta a lot of people to go....

This would be so much fun!       My support group, LIPO, just had a bowling outting this month and it was a ton of fun!  So, I am always up for that..hehe  I'm not very good, but I love it anyway

Hunnibear.. Tonight i went bowling with my mom and little bro... MAN WHAT A WORKOUT! I havent been bowling in a long time, maybe 4 years... I was sweating like a pig!!! It was amazing. There is a place in Levittown.. small and dingy but they charge $2 a game at night! Had so much fun!!! I think bowling sounds great! If you read below I was also thinking of maybe putting together an activity each month or every other month in different places in NY.... What do you think?

Hi everyone.  About 2 years ago I was able to pull together a very large group, many from upstate and long island.  We had a Christmas/Holiday party. It was really great.  I have pictures posted here in my profile.  This sounds like a great idea but takes alot of planning and organizing.  I think a central location is your best bet.  I am in Midtown manhattan a few blocks from MSG easy for everyone to get to....let me know how things progress it would be nice to meet up....I know alot of people have support groups so they see each other often however it would be nice for people who are not able to get to those groups to meet up.....
