I have a surgery date
Well after trying to lose weight for a year and a half I finally lost enough to be scheduled for surgery. My surgery is scheduled for Feb 19th with Dr. Bonville at Albany Med. I am very excited and a little nervous I guess. I hope that my insurance approves this in time. I guess that is a wait and see thing. They have been paying for monthly visits for a year and a half so I would think that they will approve but who knows. Other than being nervous about my insurance I really am not to nervous about surgery. I think I may be a little nervous about what will happen afet surgery and how I will adjust.
Congratulations!!

The best thing that i did was to stay in touch with my surgeon and this site AFTER surgery. There are tons of posts and support right here underneath your nose. If you have any questions, you need to speak up and ask... don't be so shy or nervous. Just ask! whether it be at your surgeon's office or here on line at this site. Someone will help you out and answer your questions.
How exciting! I am so happy for you. Best wishes to you.

I know I have to keep up the weight loss even before the surgery as my doctor informed me if I gained any of the weight back he would not perform the surgery. I can not risk that. I can't wait for the day that I don't have to shop in the plus size department or buy men's ski pants because I can't find womens that fit. I would also love to buy a nice new Spyder ski coat but again they don't make them to fit fat people..... THanks for the words of encouragement.
