WNY Dr Caruana Support Group Meeting - Tuesday 1/13 Anyone Going?

I am going to try to go .  Hopefully I will be back to work and can just shoot over and then go home.  Such a drive to go home and then all the way back.
I know it will be well worth it.  I heard the meetings are great!
I could use some pointers and just reassurance that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing!

I would love to make it to one of these support groups and meet all of you-

I had lapband surgery with Dr. Viglianco at Synergy.  Do you know if any banders are at these meetings?

As of right now there aren't too many banders at the meetings, but don't let that stop you from going.  Everyone is welcome and some of the information is great for all of us, regardless of our surgery type.

I live in Jamestown and would love to attend a Synergy support meeting, but too long a drive in this winter weather for me. I've heard they are great.

I hate that I started this thread and have to cancel coming. 

I went to the doctor with my daughter half way there and taking her home we saw three rearender accidents on the way home.  The roads are really slick and it is not worth risking the 40 mile round trip drive.

Thank you so much for starting the thread!!  I went to my first meeting and was happy that I did!!

I had been getting discouraged from all the waiting.  I just need insurance approval and a date from Dr. Caruana.  The group was great and suggested calling back the insurance company to check again with them.

WELL  I did today and by the end of the day got a call back from the case worker.  They have approved the surgery!!!!!!!  Now I just need to get my date. 

There were actually a couple of lap banders there.  Even one who had just had the surgery the Friday before on the 9th and a woman going in this Monday the 19th.

Be sure to come on the 27th.  They are having chair massages!!  I think I am hooked and it really helped me feel connected and brought me some good luck, too
