WNY Dr Caruana Support Group Meeting - Tuesday 1/13 Anyone Going?

I plan to attend, and hopefully get the husband to as well.

Yes, I will be there. And probably most of my posse too. There are a group of about 7 of us "old timers" who are usually there. It keeps us focused, plus it's always fun. These meetings tend to be well attended. Hope to meet you there.

Aw, thanks, April. Right back at ya! So glad things are still going great for you. If you ever do come all the way in for a synergy meeting, let me know, so I can look for you and we can finally meet!!

Normally I'd attend but I actually have the best excuse...my surgery is on the 13th!

I'm sooo nervous and excited!  My final pre-op visit with my PCP is tomorrow and Thurs is the diet and nutrition class.

I hope to see you all at the meeting on Jan 27th !

The diet and nutrition class at Synergy is actually a lot of fun! I took my mother, who will be "watching me" after surgery. I go tomorrow- have to be there at 7:30. I'll let you know how it was!

Hi - New to all this.  Have been "peeking" in through the window for months.  Now on my own road.  (Waiting on Ins Approval and then surgery date with Dr. Caruana).  I have read about the support meetings.  The next one is January 13th?  Do they have them right at Synergy? What is the time.  I would love to start getting myself more involved while wait.ing  Right now I don't quite feel like it is all really happening.  "Life" is soo busy and not having an actual date makes me feel like this is just one of my many past attempts at getting my life on track and healthythat never seems to really happen.  Maybe it will feel more like it is really happening if I attend the meeting.....  Kathy

I'm a member of Maria's "posse" and I'm sure I'll be at the meeting also.  :)  Yes the meetings are right at Synergy and they start at 6:00.  It usually fills up fast so you might want to think about getting there early.  I started going before my surgery and I found it to be very informative, and made me feel like I was part of the group and helped me realize I was actually going to do something about my life.  Besides all of that, it's always a great bunch of people and always fun!

I am going to really try to be there. I always want to be there, but never make it! Actually, I have yet to make it to even one meeting.  tsk, tsk!
