Yet Another Surgery

I just got home from the hospital. I posted earlier in the week about them saying it was gas. Well I went back to the doctor on Friday and had a cat scan done. Didn't really show anything except some blood vessels leading into the stomach not looking right. Dr. Hill knew I was in alot of pain so admitted me and on Saturday if not feeling better would do exploritory surgery to find out what was wrong. Well not better on Saturday so did the surgery and found an internal hernia. It was a relief to not have the pain anymore and to at least know that finally there was really something wrong with me and not just in my head. I kept telling everyone that something was wrong and not just gas. I have felt good every since the surgery. I am a little sore from the surgery sites but not too bad. Just taking tylenol for the pain. Don't like the vicotin he prescribed--makes me feel loopy and then very, very tired after. So now i am home just relaxing. Two surgeries in two weeks will definetely wear someone out. Just wanted to update. Thanks, Christine

I'm sorry that you had to go through another surgery.  I hope that your recovery will be quick and painless.

do you know what causes hernia and why are they so frequent in wls patients?
