Heather,
What you are feeling is normal. I felt scared too. You can check out my "Oh Sh.." pic on my photo page. It truly shows the way I was feeling right before being wheeled in. I think that's the hardest part is right before. Once you are out, you won't even know you had surgery. Like the previous poster said, next thing you know, you're in recovery. Checking the before and after photos on this site might help to encourage you too. Remember what your goal was for having this surgery and stay positive.
I was so nervous it actually helped me cut down on my eating prior to surgery. I ate, but not as much. Once it's over, you'll be so glad sister.
Hang in there. Feel free to PM me if you need to talk. Have a great day.
Take Care,
Tammy
After surgery, my lips were extremely dry. I felt weak and took a lot of cat naps. It was hard for me to really sleep in the hospital. I was tired after but within a few hours, it started to get better. I was so relieved the surgery was over.
I didn't have "Aunt Flow" around my surgery day so can't help you out there.
Have a great day.
Tammy :-)
